Sunday, January 4th 2009 This is brill - I update the frontpage once a year :D Ah well. so projects eh? Well, the SJ left me via an ebay sale, as I needed the cash to pay for some drain repairs at home - bummer :( She went, oddly enough, to a chap from Sheffiled, who then drove it to Mongolia, on the Mongolian Rally. Mad. so my little baby is now living with lots of Sherpas and Llamas (I guess!) Here she is post MOT, ready for sale : So, then the year went on, we sold the 406 V6 and bought an Audi A3 1.8T, which is on 18's :) This is Shona's daily drive basically. WAG the Fronty V6 put in a sterling performance all year, took us camping, shooting and everything without a hitch. Fairly easy and cheap to get through the MOT too! Just needed some welding on the exhaust, and a ball joint I think. We'd still have her now, unless Stu had given me first refusal on the Impreza! Well, we couldn't resist, so the Fronty went :( and the WRX came back! Here she is after doing lots of driving over Christmas with us : Another project came to us (via eBay - yes it's a habit I need to kick!) in the shape of 2.5 tonnes of American metal - a Dodge Ram B250 camper van :
There's progress on this posted in the Galleria every now and then, and that's where most of my updates go these days too, as I post mostly piccies! Bye till next year? lol :D
Sunday, January 20th 2008 Hi there! Another year, yet more projects! WAG the Fronty V6 continues to impress - much better than those 'orrible disease-el things in the past. Yes, I hate you suck-worthy 2.8TDi's :) WAG's getting an in-car PC and split-charge relay system shortly, and probably solar array battery top-up too, as I have some nice spare panels. New project number 1 is this wee Suzuki SJ 410, that will be my dirty off-roader and shooting truck :
Easy to get the suspension lift done, and loads of mods out there for them. Should be a laugh :D New project number 2 is a new black American walnut stock for my aged Daystate "Huntsman" rifle (at least that's what I think it is!). I actually started this ages ago, but just getting round to making some progress on it. As always, the Gallery has plenty of new uploads and stuff to look at it :)
Saturday, October 28th, 2006 More off roading! This time at Avon Dassett, local to one of my flying fields, Burton Dassett. 2 videos here : Video 1 and Video 2 Enjoy! :D
Monday, May 22nd 2006 Well, its been a while - but here are some cool updates. I have a complete new gallery using some spanky PHP stuff - here is a link - GALLERY After a cool off-road trip with the mad people of the Frontera Owners Group, I have upped some videos - please right click these then choose SAVE AS... My ascent of the "Hill of Hell" Suzuki monster (that broke) and some duckies! Range recovery, including diff and winch breaks Enjoy!

Monday, November 28th 2005 Last weekend (20th November) we went for a nice frosty walk down the Stratford Greenway, actually looking for sloes but finding none! :( poop. Got a few nice piccies tho - here is a sampler. The rest will be gallery-ized when I can be arsed. Plus, today it snowed its ASS off! Was great in the big lumpy Fronty, but it's all nearly gone now :(

Thursday, July 21st 2005 Yesterday a great inspiration to many an Engineer (including myself) passed away. James Doohan ('Montgomery "Scottie" Scott') was 85 when he left us, and will be deeply mourned by many a fan and of course his family. With a domain name like this, of course I had to pay tribute of some kind to a man who through a TV and film character, affected so many lives.
Godspeed Scottie.
